Andrzej Dragan, a quantum physics expert, from Warsaw, 30…. yeah… he’s 30! Getting multiple accommodations and prestiges, this young artist if spilling from the brim with skill. His photography has a very unique quality to it that’s sure to be emulated, replicated and stolen. But isn’t that when you know you’ve made it as an artist? The point where people want to have “your style” and their works are just “Dragan-like”. I know it’s my goal as an artist. Maybe i’m a special snowflake… nah!
Dragan uses and extremeness quality to his photographs, capturing extreme contrast while maintaining quality of light and shadow. Most of these works look like some sort of HDR hybrid, not quite HDR, but all the qualities of lighting found within them. Busyboo has posted a quick 10 step tutorial showing how to try to emulate this process for use on your own photography (see, once you’re good, people want to look like you)
So, if you’ve got an extra couple thousand dollars lying around littering the very ground you walk on, you too can be the owner of your very own Dragan print. Hell, at that price tag he’ll probably even sign it and seal it with the blood of his firstborn. Well… maybe just the signature.
Ohh, and P.S. his website is AMAZING! runs a bit slow in full screen, but other than that it’s one sick display of photography!
Thanks Abduzeedo for the Best of link!
I’m not really sure why baseball is the American pasttime, because when it comes down to it, who really likes playing baseball anyway? It’s all about bowling. Next time you’re in a group of friends and you don’t know what to do, mutter the words “bowling alley” and see the buzz you create! There’s beer, nachos, bowling, beer, beer beer, drunk bowling… gutterballs…
Not to brag or anything, but i used to be quite the little bowler back in my day. Best game i ever rolled was in the 280’s… i want to say 287, but my memory is pretty poor.
Ohh, yeah… the image, silly me. Another brilliant HDR shot from Stuck In Customs.
Nine Three’s on a roll… four for four and still going strong. I’m going to have to find some new content so my posts aren’t 100% composed of these ridiculously sick pictures! Stay tuned…
Without further ado (as if you’re reading this anyway with such eye candy right below)…
Another bad creation from Stuck in Customs. I need to buy this guys a cup of coffee or something! Hell, maybe he’ll even see this up on my page and want to buy me some coffee… HAHA, right! Keep it up Customs, keep it up.
Being a lover of photography and the crisp, clean, vibrant depth to HDR photography, i thought it was only right to start a… drumroll please… Photo of the Day whenever I update section of the blogosphere. So, without any other explanation, because, after all, it’s only a photo……………

Graffiti already has a special place in my heart. I’m not going to lie and say that i’m from the streets, but i was quite the minority in a city filled with Graffiti’d walls. There was no way a new construction site could build a wall without it being tagged on within the weed, most of the time days to hours. So, i’ve come to appreciate the art that is graffiti. It’s colorful, captivating, and more of the time, impossible to read… but it sure looks pretty. From Abduzeedo, by way of Big Head Design, i came across these HDR images of a BUNCH of graffiti artwork. They’re stunning! Anyone who appreciates art AND photography will definetely get what they’re looking for out of these images.
Fact: HDR pictures are totally cool. HDR makes colors pop-out, they appear really vivid and shiny. And what kinda art uses lots of vivid and shiny colors? That’s right, grafitti! And the combination of these two will blow your mind!
I appreciate good graffiti art as much as the next guy, but when you throw the HDR aspect onto these vividly colored murals, they transcend into a surreal form of artwork that serves to enhance these awesome murals. Definitely some of the most amazing photos I’ve seen.

Many more pictures after the jump.
