Couple personal favorites:
- Mieke Gerritzen – Good design goes to heaven; bad design goes everywhere.
- Shunryu Suzuki – When you do something, you should burn yourself up completely, like a good bonfire, leaving no trace of yourself.
- Jack Moffet – Broken gets fixed. Shoddy lasts forever.
- John F. Kennedy – An error doesn’t become a mistake until one refuses to correct it.

I love the Moffet quote. It’s so true. Shoddy stuff always lasts and lasts and unfortunately for design, that can be quite a bad thing.
